The easiest way to get started is to book lessons using the online diary in the website. This a quick and easy way to schedule lessons to match your own availability.
Click on the Diary page and register as a new pupil, enter your details which are held securely, and you can then view the online diary. Find a convenient lesson date and time and book it, and it’s advisable to book a few lessons or weeks ahead in the diary to maintain a continuity of lessons.
How Long ?
The traditional way to learn to drive is by taking weekly lessons, and the most effective way to do this is to book 2 hour lessons.
Booking a shorter lesson time, such as an hour lesson, may appear more cost effective at first but the time taken and the number of lessons can often be greater.
Total Drive App
Using the most up to date teaching aids to encourage pupil engagement is important, none more so than lesson progress.
At Bin-The-L-Plate we use the Total Drive App with all pupils. It’s a free download and helps the pupil to monitor lessons booked, lesson progress and notes, reflective logs as well as tracking their pupil account.
Once you start your lessons, a unique download link will be sent to your mobile fro you to download and start using Total Drive. Log in and enjoy the benefits of controlling your lesson journey.
One Hour Lesson
One hour of individual 1 to 1 driving tuition.
May work out more expensive in the long term, as one hour lesson can prove to be less effective the two hour lessons.
Two Hour Lesson
Two hours of individual 1 to 1 driving tuition.
The most popular and effective type of weekly lesson.
Can give faster results then one hour lessons, and can be more cost effective in the long term.
10 Hour Block Booking
A popular choice, book and pay for 10 hours of tuition and pay at a discounted rate.
Unfortunately 60 and 90 minute lessons cannot be booked using a block booking, lessons must be scheduled in blocks of two hour lessons.
Cost saving based on 5 x 120 minute lessons = £15.
Why not put the savings towards your Theory Test, Driving Test or Pass Plus Course.
Additional Training
So you’ve passed your test and looking for additional post driving test training and experience, or you’ve had a break from driving and looking to develop your driving further.
We can offer a variety of training packages to suit all requirements.
Motorway Lesson
Motorway tuition is a great way for new or even experienced drivers who have never driven on the motorway network, to gain valuable practice with an instructor, in what many perceive as a dangerous driving environment.
Motorway driving requires enhanced skills and driving techniques. and at the moment is not a compulsory requirement of the Driving Test, so it’s wise to have professional tuition.
The motorway lessons includes an driver assessment before driving on the motorway, this will include general driving advice and feedback to improve other aspects of the whole driving experience.
Refresher Lesson
A refresher lesson are suitable for drivers who may not have driven for a long period of time or those looking for an assessment of their driving skills, with a view to making improvements.
They are useful restore confidence before driving again as many drivers can lose confidence in their driving ability for a variety of reasons.
Refresher lessons can be a great benefit to he more mature driver who has been driving fro many years, but requires guidance to drive in the ever increasing busy modern driving environment.
Refresher lessons are often bought as gifts and can be presented as a gift voucher.
